What happened to the Broederbond?

Have you ever heard of Jong Zuid Afrika (Young South Africa)? Perhaps you have heard of its later name Afrikaner Broederbond meaning Afrikaner Brotherhood. If not, then you fall among the ranks of most people outside of South Africa but today we will be discussing exclusive South African brotherhood dedicated to advancing Afrikaner interests. It was founded by Reverend Jozua Naude, H. J. Klopper, H. W. van der Merwe, and D. H. C. Plessis in 1918 and only switched its name to Broederbond in 1920.

You may be interested to know that Broederbond members were behind designing and implementing apartheid. It is also worth knowing that the distinguished members of South African politics and all government leaders were Broederbond members.
