While I guess it shouldn’t come as any surprise, in some ways I’m a little taken aback with the indifference Roper shows as to whether Trump is successful in avoiding an impeachment or not.
I wonder if Billy is overlooking the benefit of at least some things Trump is doing, particularly in the area of judicial appointments. Also, there is a tightening to a certain extent of illegal immigration and there is more protection of the First Amendment and the Second than there would have been under Hillary Clinton if she had won.
But Roper clings to the idea that “worse is better,” which I also do to a certain extent. But he may be a little blind to the temporary relief from out of control Leftism we’re getting by having Trump in office.
Yet it is true that if Trump were eventually to be impeached somehow…
