You may have seen that protesters last night pulled down a statue of the Confederate general Williams Carter Wickham, and that after the effigy fell, “one person urinated on the statue and then ran away.” Earlier in the week, a statue of the Texas Ranger Jay Banks was officially removed from the air terminal at Love Field in Dallas. I have not been able to confirm that this effigy was deconsecrated with urine, but wonder if that honor has been reserved for Dallas mayor Eric Johnson.
